Vitality Celebrates 15 Years

Today, Vitality Spa and Clinic proudly marks its 15th anniversary, celebrating a decade and a half of providing exceptional health and wellness services to the Kitimat community.

The milestone event, held at their centrally located facility in downtown Kitimat, drew local residents & loyal clients to honor the spa’s contributions to the region’s well-being and celebrate the joyous occasion. Founded in 2010 by Andrea De Sousa, Vitality Spa and Clinic has grown from a modest operation into a cornerstone of Kitimat’s health and beauty scene. Offering a wide range of services—including registered massage therapy, chiropractic care, medical footcare, reflexology, and luxurious facials.

The clinic has built a reputation for professionalism and personalized care. Over the years, it has expanded its team of skilled practitioners and introduced innovative treatments, all while maintaining a commitment to enhancing the vitality of its clients.

There are a range of beautiful gifts, clothing and apparel, jewelry, bath and beauty and esthetic products in the retail store portion of Vitality. Kitimat Area was amazed by the selection of products and took photographs to highlight the many offerings. Vitalitys website mentions that they are Kitimat's sole stockist of the luxury beauty range from Eminence.

The anniversary celebration kicked off at 3:00 PM with two large cakes being brought to the storefront by owner Andrea so everyone visiting the spa could enjoy a treat. The cakes were made by the local Save-On-Foods grocery store.

I asked Andrea about what inspired her to start the clinic 15 years ago.

" I was a massage therapist and I needed a place to work. I worked out of a vitamin shop and was approached by customers and was asked about various things they needed."

"Different spa services, different products. I started to fill those needs for people and it just continued to evolve from there."

I asked about how the community of Kitimat had contributed to the spas success.

“Fifteen years ago, we set out to create a space where people could feel cared for, rejuvenated, and empowered,”. “Seeing how the community has embraced us is beyond rewarding. This milestone is as much theirs as it is ours.”

Guests enjoyed complimentary snacks, drinks. I saw many local residents visiting the storefront during my time covering the event and was amazed by the enthusiasm and delight of those visiting, highlighting Kitimat’s tight-knit community and support for local businesses.

A special 15% discount on all store items during the event was announced as a thank-you to clients and customers.

When asked about any standout memories over the past 15 years. Andrea was quick to mention one in particular.

"Every Christmas is amazing. Super fun, and we get to see everyone from the community come in. Such a fun time."

As the celebration wrapped up in the late afternoon, attendees left with a sense of pride in their local gem. Vitality Spa and Clinic’s 15th anniversary not only honored its past but reaffirmed its place as a vital part of Kitimat’s future.
