TERRACE, BC – On March 16, 2025, the doors of Venom Ink,

Terrace’s beloved local tattoo parlor, swung open for Kitimat Area and our very own Terrace Batman for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour, offering us a glimpse into the heart of one of northern British Columbia’s most celebrated art hubs.

Located on Lakelse Avenue in the heart of downtown Terrace, Venom Ink has built a reputation for its exceptional tattoo work, welcoming atmosphere, and commitment to safety and professionalism. The tour allowed Kitimat Area to learn more about the inner workings of the parlor and the art of tattooing.

The tour began in the parlor’s welcoming reception area, where the Kitimat Area team were greeted by walls adorned with vibrant art, and a gallery of photographs showcasing some of Venom Ink’s tattoos.

From there, the Kitimat Area team moved into the heart of the parlor: the tattooing stations. Each station was meticulously organized, with artists’ tools—tattoo machines, inks, needles, and sterilization equipment—laid out in a way that emphasized both efficiency and hygiene.

Kitimat Area was particularly fascinated by a live demonstration of the tattooing process, where resident artist Cory Belmont was creating a tattoo for a local woman.

One of the highlights of the tour was the chance to partake in a live stream, as local social media character Terrace Batman was in the very back of the parlor and enjoying a look at a set up that included photos of iconic horror movie characters.

We at Kitimat Area want to thank the staff at Venom Ink for the tour. Eric Fleming and Amarens de Vries. We have posted photographs taken by our very own Eric LaFrance. Spark E Studio. Showcasing some of the fine work being done at Venom Ink.

Venom Ink encourages visitors to stop by the parlor during regular hours or follow their social media channels for updates on future events, workshops, and community initiatives. As Terrace continues to grow as a hub for art and culture, Venom Ink remains at the forefront, leaving an indelible mark—one tattoo at a time.
