CenTex Opens Car Wash in Kitimat

Kitimat, BC – April 04, 2025

Residents of Kitimat lined up in droves today as CenTex Touchless Car Wash kicked off its two-day trial run, offering a sneak peek at the town’s newest automotive service. The carwash welcomed locals from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the first day featuring free car washes that drew a significant turnout.The innovative touchless car wash, located across from McDonald's , promises a state-of-the-art cleaning experience without the risk of scratches or wear on vehicles. Day one of the trial saw a steady stream of cars, with many residents eager to test the facility’s high-pressure water jets and eco-friendly cleaning solutions.

Workers on site reported an overwhelmingly positive response so far, though minor adjustments are already in the works. “We’ve had an incredible turnout,” said George Porter with Portwest Wash Systems.
